Ear Canal - Part of the outer ear
Ear Drum - Beginning of the middle ear which vibrates due to pressure from sound waves
EASA - European Aviation Safety Agency. This was formerly Joint Aviation Authority (JAA)
EDA - Emergency Distance Available. EDA = TORA + Stopway
Emergency Phase - Generic term covering an uncertainty, alert or distress phase in search and rescue
Eustachian Tube - Found in the middle ear, its function is to equalise the air pressure on both sides of the eardrum, ensuring that pressure does not build up in the ear.
External Respiration - Gas exchange between blood and air
